Why Veritas exists

When founder Angelo Anzalone was forced to shut down a business after enduring 4 hurricanes in one year, he faced several creditor lawsuits and realized the urgent need for inexpensive, accessible legal protection.

After depleting his life savings defending himself against creditor lawsuits, Angelo was determined to make legal protection available to as many consumers as possible, so fewer people face the financial burden of hiring an attorney while also gathering funds to settle the debt.

Veritas Legal Plan was originally established to provide unlimited legal protection to consumers with unsecured debt for a low monthly fee. Since then, Veritas has evolved into a legal plan that offers credit monitoring with identity theft protection, discounted legal services on non-debt related matters, involuntary unemployment benefits, and more.

Veritas is still one of the only facilitators of legal protection specializing in unsecured consumer debt defense. We work with many of the nation's top credit repair and debt relief companies, and we have over 10 years of experience serving plan members, affiliates, and network attorneys. Legal services are provided through a panel of participating attorneys who are screened and evaluated before acceptance.
